Review

Ariel Kalma is the kind of musician that collectors live their lives to find at the bottom of a dollar record bin, and the kind who fellow musicians hope to become. He is a composer who worked on the periphery of a fringe movement, whose early adherents have recently seen an explosion in popularity...

Ariel Kalma's music is varied in inspiration and genre, but Serenity is a bit different from
his other albums. When these tracks were composed, Ariel had a new-born son,
and a baby is an amazing source of inspiration. Peace, hush sounds, a lullaby feeling and especially the musical mobiles, toys, bells with which father and son played. Ariel sometimes included them in some of those pieces.

Ariel plays keyboards, flutes, saxophone, synthesiser, effects.
(Gene King - Satiyarti - plays guitar and Bill Stroud plays low congas on Dance of the Elves)
